The first road run took place on April 1994, had 70 entries and raised£2,700 for the Milton children's hospice. 1995 saw over 100 participants and £4,200 donated to the Hospice.

In 1996 the run supported MAGPAS and raised £4,500. By 2008 over £100,000 had been raised for MAGPAS and over 300 vehicles and static displays took part.
